DepEd Cavite Province, Soaring So High!

Cavite is synonymous with triumph. The letter V in its name stands for victory.

The Province of Cavite was hailed by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) as 8th Placer Top Performing Province in the Philippines last year. This was a result of its leaders’ good governance, progress-oriented orientation and high-performance in its programs and development.
DepEd Cavite on the other hand was not left behind and did not let itself be like a sitting duck waiting for its eggs to be hatched.
The brilliant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Yolanda V. Carpina.
Cavite division envisioned its schools as a seat of culture and excellence made possible by school heads, teachers and other stakeholders.

In its desire to address the needs of all the clienteles, serve and provide basic services of education, Cavite Division has done its best. As education cradle, DepEd Cavite has achieved various international, national and regional recognitions. Truly it is always raining and pouring for this division. After it was chosen last year by the regional office as the cornerstone of national growth in educational media as Center for the Special Program in Journalism, this school year 2011-2012, Cavite has paved the way for soaring higher in terms of latest technological advancement in educational system, as 91 public elementary school were recipients of the DepEd Computerization Program or DCP.

In line with its vision and mission, several measures have been implemented to give due considerations and address the urgent needs of the division.  These were composed of implementation of school projects based on the priority needs of each school through the assistance of the school governing council and other private sectors; strategic analysis; ocular inspection; contingency plans; and capacity building for teachers, school heads and non-teaching personnel.  Likewise, it includes preparation of school improvement plan, annual implementation plan, school report card and school operating budget by the school heads.

Its leaders were responsible for the successful delivery of educational services and the implementation of diverse programs and projects created in an effort to achieve the standards and targets set by the division in line with the students/pupils, staff, curriculum and physical development, as well as management and supervision of schools.  The application of participatory and consultative decision making process, and the employment of data-based, research and evaluation as bases in creating initiatives and making decisions ensure the successful implementation of the monitoring and evaluation scheme set by Cavite Division.

DepEd Cavite is changing at its best to challenge the world. It will never stop nor despair. Its leaders will breath new spirit into it from time to time. It will continuously illuminate and succeed to the future years and will cling to its pedestal as top performing division not only in the Region IV-CALABARZON but in the whole world as well.

Though having made great achievements in the previous year, DepEd Cavite still has a long way to go so that it can adapt itself continuously to the new social and economic development trends, and meet the new needs in cultivating talents. In the coming future, DepEd Cavite will continue to take the development of education as the strategic priority, and in line with the requirements of the K + 12 Program, take reform and innovation as the strong force for development, take the improvement of education quality as the strategic key point of reform and development, and take the promotion of fairness as the essential education policy, so as to realize sound and fast development, and to win people’s satisfaction with it. This is the goal we shall pursue and shall make unswerving efforts for more TRIUMPHS and VICTORIES for our beloved DepED CAVITE..
