Graduation 2014 Message: Hindi Natitinag ang Pusong Pilipino
‘To he who knocks, the door will open.’
Warmest congratulations to all the graduates of 2014 who
have entered the first door of great possibilities and more opportunities. Let
me welcome you now with corsage and accolade of happiness and hope.
Roeniel Manzanilla is the class valedictorian of Maduya Elementary School in Carmona, Cavite during the school year 2012-2013. |
Filipino people has etched a new record this previous year
especially during the events such as record breaking typhoons, unwanted earthquakes
and other calamities. CNN ‘unofficially’ called us as ‘unbelievably resilient,
long suffering, good natured, uber friendly, loyal, ingenius and a bunch of
survivors’.
My dear graduates, be a real Filipino in heart and in deeds.
Filipino people have indomitable fighting spirit at its finest. Let us conquer
our ultimate enemy which is poverty. In doing this, you have to manage to
finish what you have started even though you do not know all the traps and
hardships along the way. And at a time when your passion waned because of the
difficulties you encountered, you have to reach for discipline. And when
discipline seemed about to disappear because you were tired, you use you moment
of repose to think about what steps you needed to take in the future.

Like the earthquake and typhoon survivors, don’t be
paralyzed by the defeats and misfortunes along the way that are inevitable in
our lives. Don’t sit agonizing over what you lost when you had an idea that did
not work or when you failed.
In the other hand, do not stop also when you experienced
moments of triumphs and victories, because you had not reached yet your goal. These
are but sugar to your path to your real dream.
A graduation ceremony is an event where the commencement speaker tells thousands of students dressed in identical caps and gowns that "individuality" is the key to success. ~Robert Orben |
Don’t just dream of success. Success comes to those who do
not waste time comparing what they are doing with what others are doing. People
who seek only success rarely find it, because success is not an end, but a
consequence.
You must always have a goal in mind.
“Dare to dream! If
you did not have the capability to make your wildest wishes come true, your
mind would not have the capacity to conjure such ideas in the first place.
There is no limitation on what you can potentially achieve, except for the
limitation you choose to impose on your own imagination. What you believe to be
possible will always come to pass - to the extent that you deem it possible. It
really is as simple as that.” ― Anthon St. Maarten
More luck and greater power to all of you Graduates of 2014!
